چکیده

In today's competitive environment, enterprise business has to adapt the changes driven by the market in order to achieve targeted goals. Information systems are used to manage the enterprise business, and thus adaptation at information system level is very important. It raises the need for architectures and mechanisms that support such adaptation at finer granularity (process activity level). Service-oriented computing and aspect-oriented programming approaches promises high adaptability in rule-based information systems. In this paper, authors propose an adaptable ECA (Event-ConditionAction) centric architecture with implementation mechanism, which is based on service-oriented computing and aspectoriented programming concepts to adapt changes at intra-activity level for rule-based enterprise information systems.

Agile Service-Oriented Applications: Rule-based Foundation with Runtime Adaptability

Service-oriented applications are increasingly requested to be adaptive and reliable, to face harsh market competitiveness and volatility. Towards achieving that, service developers must foster current ad-hoc and rigid available technology, e.g. WSDL, BPEL and WS-CDL, with early formal specification and validation and equip them with adaptability as steering forces. In paper puts first mileston...

[Position Paper] WS-ECA: An ECA Rule Description Language for Ubiquitous Services Computing

Ubiquitous computing network comprises a variety of distributed service devices. Today Web services technology enables the heterogeneous devices to provide their own services and interact with each other via well-defined Internet protocol. Nevertheless, service devices in ubiquitous environments require more eventdriven, autonomous interaction beyond rather passive serviceoriented architecture ...
